Sinopse
John Matrix (Arnold Schwarzenegger) é um coronel aposentado há dez anos que vive para Jenny Matrix (Alyssa Milano), sua filha. Repentinamente ela é seqüestrada por Arius (Dan Hedaya), um ex-ditador latino-americano que espera recuperar o poder, e que para isto chantageia Matrix, ordenando-o que mate o presidente Velasquez, o atual mandatário. Mas John foge do avião e tem só 11 horas para resgatar Jenny antes que descubram que escapou e não pretende cometer nenhum assassinato. Na sua tentativa só encontra obstáculos pelo caminho e a única pessoa que fica do seu lado é Cindy (Rae Dawn Chong), uma aeromoça.
